The Material World project aims to explore different materials to expand my material palette away from the classic material of wood. The aim is to Investigate sustainable materials that can also be used in workshop formats, among other things. The Project started with an investigation into three materials, of which one was then investigated further.

I started working with recycled plastics and later turned to self-made bioplastics during my experiments. The one material I chose to examine further is a self-developed blend of shellac and sand, colored with pigment.

I designed and made several objects with this material, which I call "Stoneage Plastics".
